Carmen Sylve is the pseudonym for Elisabeth of Wied (1843.) the first Queen of Romania, writter and admirer of Opatia. Born in a powerful aristocratic family in German town Neuwied placed on the east bank of Rhine. In 1869.she married the Romanian regent, prince of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen who in 1881. became the first king of Romania.
